The .NET framework is Microsoft's new platform for creating and deploying applications. The framework simplifies application development and deployment from the desktop to the Web. Pervasive PSQL integrates with the .NET common language runtime through Visual Studio.NET development environment.

The Pervasive PSQL 3.2 ADO.Net data Provider is built with 100% managed code and is compliant with the .Net framework versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 3.5+SP1. It also includes advanced features such as:

High Performance providing fast, scalable queries and data transfers
Stream objects allowing for high performance throughput even when using large binary or text objects
Wire Encryption delivering secure communication locally or over the Internet
Connection Failover allowing connection to an alternate, or backup, database server if the primary database is unavailable
Client load balancing leveraging Connection Failover to distribute new connections in your environment so that no one server is overwhelmed with connection requests
