Steps to create an Engine Data Source Name:
NOTE: You can create a User, System, or a File DSN. The procedure below describes how to create a System DSN.
1. Choose ODBC Administrator from the Tools menu in Pervasive Control Center.
NOTE: You can also choose ODBC Administrator from the Control Panel.
The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box displays.
2. Select the System DSN tab.
3. Click Add to Create a New Data Source.
A list of drivers to use for the new Data Source displays.
4. Select Pervasive ODBC Engine Interface and click Finish.
5. The Pervasive ODBC Engine DSN Setup window displays.
6. Enter the desired Data Source Name. Then, select the preferred Database Name from the drop-down list
or
Click Create to create a new Database Name for the DSN.
6. Click Test to test the connection.
7. Click OK to create the DSN.
