Another Sneak Peek at the Upcoming 8.8 Release

The Pervasive Enterprise Application Adapter framework (EAA) is a pure-Java subsystem of Business Integrator Pro and Data Integrator Pro that provides a common mechanism for interfacing with CRM and ERP applications from the Process Designer. The EAA framework provides advanced security features as well as performance boosting mechanisms such as multithreading and connection pooling to the CRM and ERP application. The EAA framework also provides off-line metadata caching so that the CRM/ERP object definitions can be downloaded and used at design time.

The first EAA adapter to be released will be for SAP R/3 and will support real-time RFC, BAPI, ALE and iDoc access methods. The adapter uses the SAP R/3 security model and takes full advantage of EAA connection pooling and multithreading features to boost performance.

Availability of the SAP adapter will coincide with the mid-September general availability (GA) release of 8.8. Please contact your account manager for availability and pricing.
