Java Developers Getting On Board with Pervasive DataRush

Pervasive DataRush™ made its public debut at the 2007 JavaOne Conference, and Java developers already are getting on board. Pervasive Integration Solutions Architect Jim Falgout presented at the conference, and attendee interest was high in the 100-percent Java framework that lets developers quickly and easily create hyper-parallel data-intensive applications.

Pervasive DataRush is the engine inside Pervasive Data Profiler™, so it has been shipping within a commercial application for some time. The power and scalability of the engine led Pervasive to offer Pervasive DataRush as an application development framework for other organizations to leverage. The Pervasive DataRush framework insulates developers from the complexity of concurrent programming; automatically scaling to leverage additional SMP cores while managing threading, queuing, memory management and deadlocks. Pervasive DataRush provides connectivity to a range of data sources and targets and will incorporate an Eclipse-based development studio for rapid design, testing and debugging.

Pervasive DataRush is available as a free Beta download at www.pervasivedatarush.com. Additionally, the company is working with partners and customers to deploy applications based on the framework.

Attendees and presenters, thank you again for being part of Metamorphosis 7.0. The event proved to be the high-energy, interactive venue that's the hallmark of Metamorphosis summits. Turnout was a record high, presentations were in-depth and insightful, and ideas and opportunities flourished in San Jose. Pervasive CTO Mike Hoskins kicked off a discussion of the cost effectiveness and efficiencies of embeddable data integration. Presenters from a range of industries went on to show the advantages that agile integration offers a company in rapidly changing markets where SaaS and Web Services are growing.

NYC Training is a Learning Experience for Us Too

The recent New York City training session was a wonderful experience for the Pervasive team. We enjoyed meeting our East Coast customers, and we hope many of you walked away with greater working knowledge of our products.

The regional class included our advanced training curriculum and a look at some of our newer advanced features. Ten students attended from seven different companies. Open Finance, Praetorian Financial, Wall Street Concepts, AXA Equitable, C3I, Aegon and Citibank personnel were on hand.
